The basement family room, who has one, and it’s not your favorite space 🙋‍♀️. I’ve never been fond of ours: low ceilings + poor natural light just isn’t the best combo.

BUT - this pandemic has taught me to appreciate each and every inch of our house, and I was determined to make this a room my family wanted
to hang out in. After lots and lots of paint, a few budget friendly fixtures, and furniture that finally fits the space (and our family!), it’s been turned into a cozy media room - and getting regular use 🙌.

There were lots of questions about that “mysterious”arched door when I showed a section of the room on stories... and what’s behind it. Give me your best guess, and I’ll send out a Starbucks card to one of you this week! ☕️ Hint: it’s a room that’s never been shared on Style + Dwell.
