Confession: I love a minimal home, but when I’m running around town with the kiddos – I basically live by the Boy Scout motto “always be prepared!” So it’s no wonder that when it comes to an everyday bag- it’s rare that I travel light. Finding a bag that has enough compartments to keep organized + doesn’t sacrifice style + that’s comfortable can be surprisingly hard to find!
I started hearing rumors awhile back from several friends that such a bag existed from Lolë: The Lily. The Canadian company was nice enough to send me one to try out. Here’s how the backpack + tote tested, and all the different ways I plan to use it:
The tried + true yoga bag:
This is how the bag is intended to be used, and friends it doesn’t disappoint. I love a good yoga or barre class, but lugging around that mat can be a real hassle. Having a compartment that fits a rolled up mat is pure genius. Not to mention it comes with a transparent makeup bag + another bag for your change of clothes. Bravo!
The swim bag:
So that yoga mat pocket gave me an idea, and I was curious if I could get a beach towel to fit. My kids love trips to the pool, but I hate bulky towels – good news friends, it fits! There’s also plenty of room for changes of clothes, two pockets for water bottles, and compartments for snacks, diving toys, and sunscreen.
The work bag:
As bloggers, we spend a lot of time at coffee shops with our laptops in tow (because who can really get work done at home anyway??) This bag has a padded storage compartment for your computer or tablet + lots of dedicated space for planners, pens and the like. For commuters the backpack option is pretty fabulous – and will save your shoulders.
The diaper + kiddo bag:
Even when those kids are out of diapers you still find yourself needing something to store snacks, toys, or maybe an iPad or two 😉. I was super impressed with the dedicated space for two water bottles, and I love having a font zippered area for easy access.
The weekender:
A relaxing weekend away is pretty much the best thing ever, but finding a bag to keep you organized can be tricky. You don’t necessarily want to totally unpack, so having dedicated spaces + compartments makes all the difference. Now… how to convince my husband to take said weekend trip- so I can try this out for myself?!
Happy organizing!
Love,
Ashley + Lindsay
